Privacy Policy
Effective: September 20, 2026
We keep this short and specific. Your recordings and notes belong to you.
1. How your audio is processed
- Recordings and imported audio are stored on your device.
- To turn speech into text, QuickNotes sends the audio, in short pieces, over an encrypted connection to our transcription service, which runs on Cloudflare. The audio is used only to produce the transcript and is not kept by QuickNotes after the transcript is returned.
2. AI summaries, flashcards and quizzes
- When you ask for an AI summary, the transcript text (not the audio) is sent through our server to a third-party AI service to write the summary.
- Flashcards and quizzes are created on your device from the summary.
3. Information we collect
- Email address, to create and secure your account
- Device type, app version and usage counts, to fix problems and enforce plan limits
- Feature usage (analytics), to improve the app
- Website visitors: our website uses Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel to measure visits and the performance of ads
- Subscription status, handled by Apple and our subscription provider
We use service providers for hosting, analytics, subscriptions and email delivery. They only receive what they need to do that job.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models.
5. Your control
- Delete recordings and notes at any time; delete your account by contacting support@quicknotesapp.io
- Export transcripts, summaries and audio from any recording
